POWEREXPO ALMATY AND KAZATOMEXPO 2026 TO BRING TOGETHER 240 COMPANIES FROM 10 COUNTRIES TO ADVANCE INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION IN THE ENERGY SECTOR

FROM OCTOBER 21 TO 23, 2026, ALMATY WILL HOST THE 24TH KAZAKHSTAN INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION “POWER ENGINEERING, ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING AND POWER EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURING” – POWEREXPO ALMATY 2026 – AND THE 9TH KAZAKHSTAN INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION “NUCLEAR POWER AND INDUSTRY” – KAZATOMEXPO 2026.

Over three days, the exhibition venue will bring together equipment manufacturers and suppliers, representatives of energy companies, the industrial sector, the expert community, and specialised organisations.

In 2026, the combined exhibition will feature 240 companies from 10 countries: Austria, Belarus, Germany, Kazakhstan, China, Russia, Poland, Türkiye, France, and the Czech Republic. The Republic of Mordovia and the Samara and Chelyabinsk Regions will be represented by separate group stands. At the same time, 148 companies will participate for the first time, significantly expanding the range of exhibitors and solutions presented.

Exhibitors include Alageum Electric, AKSA Power Generation, EAE Elektrik, MWM Austria, Astana Electrotechnical Plant, Kazakhstan Fittings and Insulators Plant, Kursk Electrical Equipment Plant, Linkmaster Kazakhstan, Kaz Energo Power, Silumin-Vostok, Tavrida Electric, Patneft-Presskompozit, Ust-Kamenogorsk Capacitor Plant, EKRA Kazakhstan, Electroshield Almaty, Cansu Construction, Rohde & Schwarz Kazakhstan, TE Connectivity Energy GmbH, Kazenergy Detection (MEGGER), INNIO Jenbacher, and other companies.

The Powerexpo Almaty 2026 exhibition will cover the key areas of modern energy: electrical equipment and power engineering, cable and wire products, renewable and alternative energy, automation and digitalisation (industrial process control systems), energy conservation and heat supply, and industrial lighting.

In parallel, Kazatomexpo 2026 will present specialised solutions for the nuclear industry. Its thematic sections will include the design, engineering, and construction of nuclear power plants; equipment and machinery for nuclear reactors; integrated nuclear power plant safety systems; the nuclear fuel cycle; waste management; and environmental technologies.

The exhibition’s lanyard partner is the Atomic Industry Development Association (AIDA), an independent industry association of the Republic of Kazakhstan that brings together representatives of business, science, the expert and professional communities, as well as international partners, to develop the national nuclear industry. The Association’s mission is to promote the development of a sustainable, safe, and technologically advanced nuclear industry in the Republic of Kazakhstan by facilitating the localisation of production, developing the national supply chain, and integrating Kazakhstani companies into the global nuclear industry.

A comprehensive business programme will be an important part of the exhibitions. The Energy Professionals Forum will take place on October 21 and 22, bringing together a plenary session and strategic sessions devoted to the development of Kazakhstan’s energy system, the modernisation of the heat and power sector, nuclear power generation, investment, and the emerging needs of the digital economy.

The following sessions will be held as part of the Forum on October 21:

Plenary session: “Almaty’s Energy Sector: 105 Years of Development and New Growth Areas”;

Strategic session: “Generation of the Future: What Should Kazakhstan’s Energy Mix Look Like?”;

Strategic session: “Kazakhstan’s Heat and Power Sector: Modernisation of Heat Sources and Heating Networks and New Technologies”.

On the second day, October 22, the Energy Professionals Forum will continue with a series of sessions devoted to nuclear power, the financing of industry projects, and the development of digital infrastructure:

“Nuclear Power in Kazakhstan: International Cooperation, Technology, and Localisation”;

“Tax and Financial Architecture of Energy Projects: How to Attract Long-Term Capital”;

“Energy for the Digital Economy: AI and Data Centres as New Consumers”.

On the final day, October 23, the 3rd KazEnergoOTP-2026 Forum, organised by KazEPI and Green Platform Kazakhstan, will take place. The Forum will focus on the participation of domestic enterprises in energy projects, the development of local production, and the introduction of modern technologies.

The Forum programme will include:

“How to Become a Supplier for the Balkhash Nuclear Power Plant?”;

“How Can Localisation in Kazakhstan Be Accelerated?”;

“Smart Energy – A Trend Transforming Kazakhstan”.

The combination of a large-scale exhibition and a professional business agenda will enable participants and visitors not only to explore modern equipment and technological solutions but also to discuss the key areas of development of Kazakhstan’s energy sector, the prospects for nuclear power, infrastructure modernisation, production localisation, investment mechanisms, and the impact of digitalisation on the industry.
