POWEREXPO ALMATY 2025 WILL GATHER LEADING GLOBAL MANUFACTURERS AND EXPERTS TO DISCUSS THE PROSPECTS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE ENERGY SECTOR
FROM OCTOBER 21 TO 23, 2025, THE 23RD KAZAKHSTAN INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION "ENERGY, ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING AND ENERGY MACHINE BUILDING" — POWEREXPO ALMATY 2025 WILL BE HELD AT THE ATACENT KCDS. AS A SIGNIFICANT EVENT IN THE ENERGY SECTOR, THE EXHIBITION TRADITIONALLY BRINGS TOGETHER LEADING COMPANIES, EXPERTS, AND REPRESENTATIVES OF GOVERNMENT STRUCTURES TO DISCUSS CURRENT TRENDS AND PROSPECTS FOR INDUSTRY DEVELOPMENT.
THIS YEAR, 232 COMPANIES FROM 17 COUNTRIES WILL PARTICIPATE IN THE EXHIBITION, INCLUDING AUSTRIA, ALGERIA, BELARUS, BELGIUM, THE UNITED KINGDOM, GERMANY, INDIA, IRAN, ITALY, KAZAKHSTAN, CHINA, POLAND, RUSSIA, SLOVAKIA, TURKEY, UZBEKISTAN, AND THE CZECH REPUBLIC. OF THESE, 69 COMPANIES REPRESENT KAZAKHSTAN, AND 163 ARE FOREIGN STATES, INDICATING HIGH INTERNATIONAL INTEREST IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE DOMESTIC ENERGY MARKET AND ITS GROWING INVESTMENT POTENTIAL. ALSO, THIS YEAR, 26 DOMESTIC MANUFACTURERS ARE PARTICIPATING. THE EXHIBITION HAS GROWN BY 24% COMPARED TO LAST YEAR, REFLECTING THE DYNAMICS OF DEVELOPMENT AND EXPANDING OPPORTUNITIES FOR ESTABLISHING BUSINESS CONTACTS AND EXCHANGING EXPERIENCE.
Manufacturers from the Republic of Mordovia, Perm Krai, Omsk Region, as well as ANO "Mosprom" will present collective expositions. Also among the exhibitors are the Kaluga, Sverdlovsk, and Chelyabinsk regions. Notably, 146 companies (61% of the total number of participants) will participate in Powerexpo Almaty for the first time, highlighting the expansion of geography and interest in the Kazakhstani market.
Over three days, a rich business program will be implemented, including plenary and panel sessions, as well as expert discussions and thematic presentations. Within the framework of the events, leading domestic and international specialists will present successful cases and discuss key issues in the development of the energy and nuclear sectors.
On October 21, the program will open with the Plenary Session "Modernization of Kazakhstan's Electric Power Industry: Eliminating Deficit, Reducing Wear, and Increasing Investment Attractiveness", followed by panel discussions on the topics: "Tariff Formation in Kazakhstan's Energy Sector: A Long Overdue Reform" and "The Global Energy Network of the Future: From Science Fiction to Regional Integration".
On October 22, participants' attention will be focused on the panel sessions "The Future of Nuclear Energy in Kazakhstan: Balancing Technology, Transparency, and Responsibility" and "Energy Systems of the Future: How to Ensure Sustainability". Additionally, in the format of Expert Talks "Energy Dialogue – Synthesis Point", there will be an informal discussion of industry trends and challenges.
On October 23, the program will continue with the Forum "KazEnergoOTP-2025", organized by KAZEPI with the support of NCE RK "Atameken". Within the framework of the forum, a plenary session "Localization and Demand: How to Ensure a Sustainable Market for OTP?" and a panel discussion "The New Role of OTP in the Country's Economy" will be held. The business part will conclude with the strategic panel "National Industrial Base of Energy: What Needs to Change Now?", during which priority directions for strengthening the domestic production base will be determined.
