ADVANCED INNOVATIONS IN THE ELECTRIC POWER INDUSTRY, ENERGY SAVING AND ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING: 117 PARTICIPANTS OF THE POWEREXPO ALMATY 2023 EXHIBITION PRESENTED THEIR STANDS
ON OCTOBER 17, IN THE MAIN EXHIBITION COMPLEX OF THE SOUTHERN CAPITAL - ATAKENT KAZAKHSTAN CENTER FOR BUSINESS COOPERATION - THE 21ST KAZAKHSTAN INTERNATIONAL ENERGY, ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT AND MACHINE BUILDING EXHIBITION - POWEREXPO ALMATY 2023 - BEGAN ITS WORK.
The exposition was located in pavilion 9 and occupied a street area, where equipment for the electrical power industry was presented by 5 companies. 117 participants from countries such as Austria, Armenia, Belarus, Germany, Kazakhstan, China, Russia, Slovakia, Finland and France present integrated solutions in the field of energy, as well as products in the fields of electrical engineering, cable products and electrical installations; installation, testing and measurement equipment; automatic systems, drive devices and lighting equipment. Manufacturers from Germany united under one National stand, and the Mordovian, Chuvash Republics and the Orenburg region of Russia presented collective stands. The presence of more than 20 Chinese companies shows China’s growing interest in our market.
The annual participation of debutant companies with stands at the exhibition shows that Kazakhstan continues to demonstrate its readiness and desire to maintain and strengthen its status as an open and progressive market, attracting the attention of both local entrepreneurs and international players. This facilitates the mutual exchange of experience and allows for the implementation of global best practices, enhancing the development of the industry and contributing to its long-term sustainability and prosperity. This year’s exhibition includes 68 exhibitors taking part in the exhibition for the first time, which is about 60% of the total number of participants this year. Among the debutants: BETA IZOL, Borusan CAT Kazakhstan, Center for Energy and Environmental Research, OME Group, Rooq Limited, Solarway-A, Dikom Energy and others.
A distinctive feature of the Powerexpo Almaty 2023 exhibition is the expanded business program. Today, a strategic session: Sustainable development of the energy sector: risks, challenges, opportunities was held with the participation of speakers from Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Union of Energy Engineers of the Republic of Kazakhstan ALE, Association of Renewable Energy of Kazakhstan, QazECO Association of Energy Supply Organizations ALE, KBTU JSC, Samruk-Energy JSC, KEGOC JSC, Kazakhstan Electric Power Association ALE, Institute for Development of Electric Power and Energy Saving JSC, Almaty University of Energy and Communications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev. The speakers talked about the current state of the energy sector, the risks of the energy market, and the challenges facing the industry.
At the end of the strategic session, Zh.G. Khairushev, the moderator, the Managing Director of Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, invited the speakers of the session, as well as honorary guests - T.K. Abdullayev, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Atakent Kazakhstan Center for Business Cooperation JSC, B.A. Danilenko, the Director of Iteca Kazakhstan Exhibition Company, to symbolically cut the ribbon, which marked the opening of the expo site.
The theme of energy development in Kazakhstan continued with the Round Table: Energy Saving. Energy Service Practice, where speakers discussed best practices and case studies in the field of energy service and energy saving, and also identified ways to improve energy efficiency at various levels of industry and business. Frequency converters from Rockwell Automation, a seminar from KLINKMANN KAZAKHSTAN, received special attention from visitors.
Another innovation this year was the launch of the ITECA.EVENTS mobile application, the main task of which is to create ideal interaction between visitors and participants. Using the application, it is possible to schedule meetings with potential customers, view the list of participants and products/services presented at the exhibition, have access to the most up-to-date information (navigation plan, business program), collect a contact database based on the results of meetings, view individual personalized recommendations, created by artificial intelligence based on completed data. In short, ITECA.EVENTS is the entire exhibition is in digital format.
On October 18, a Nuclear Energy Development Opportunities in Kazakhstan strategic session will take place, which will provide an opportunity for in-depth analysis and dialogue on the development of nuclear energy in Kazakhstan, and will also allow determining the best ways to strengthen this important industry in the country.
