Kazakhstan to receive income from electricity sales

Kazakhstanis will be able to receive additional income from the sale of electricity. According to Bakytzhan Kazhiyev, the head of the Kazakh company for managing electrical networks, this project includes three main elements: a modern system for controlling the transmission of energy, automatic regulation, which ensures more efficient use of electricity and an emergency response system.

In the complex, due to the introduction of modern technologies, the use of intelligent meters, solar panels, batteries and electric vehicles, Kazakhstanis will be able not only to save electricity, but also to earn on the sale of surplus energy.

"Technologies are always getting cheaper and very much cheaper year after year. There is an expectation that at some point in time the cost of electricity produced by solar panels will become cheaper than traditional electricity. This is a question of the future. After creating the conditions, that they become active participants.

In order to create such conditions, it is necessary to create an intellectual energy system," the chairman of the board of KEGOC Bakytzhan Kazhiyev said. At the same time, the head of the company reported a significant shortage of electricity in the southern regions of the country. This issue is being solved by building a North-South line of direct current. Modern technologies will allow to transfer 4-5 times more capacity on considerable distances.
