Kazakhstan listed among countries with cheapest gasoline

Kazakhstan entered the list of top twenty countries with the cheapest gasoline, RK Energy Minister Kanat Bozumbayev said at the board meeting of the Ministry, referring to the Global Petroleum Prices international agency rating.

In the February 19, 2018 rating, Kazakhstan is 15th in the cheapest gasoline among 167 countries, at the price of 56 cents per litre. The average world price for 1 litre is 1 dollar 15 cents .The country with the lowest price on motor gasoline today is Venezuela with 10 cents per 1 liter. The country with the most expensive motor gasoline is Iceland with $2.10. As for diesel fuel, Kazakhstan ranks 14th - 50 cents. The average price in the world is 1 dollar 4 cents, Bozumbaev said, adding that in the CIS, Kazakhstan is second only to Turkmenistan with 0.43 cents for gasoline.

According to the RK MF, the domestic fuel and lubricants market for the year is to be: gasoline - up to 90%, diesel fuel to 90%, jet fuel to 70% and fuel oil to 100%.
