JSC "Gumarbek Daukeyev Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications" (AUES) offers its scientific and engineering expertise to energy sector enterprises, combining applied research, digital modeling, engineering solutions, technical expertise, development of regulatory, design, and methodological documentation, energy efficiency solutions, and professional development for specialists.

One of the key areas is the application of the Real Time Digital Simulator (RTDS) hardware-and-software system for testing and verifying power system automation devices. The complex provides real-time transient simulation and enables Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing of real automatic voltage regulation (AVR), emergency control automation (ECA), and relay protection and automation (RPA) systems without implementation on operating energy facilities.

AUES competencies cover applied scientific research and engineering developments in power and thermal engineering, including power grid mode analysis, power system stability studies, transient calculations, engineering solution design, and development of strategic directions for energy infrastructure growth.

AUES specialists perform technical expertise, engineering calculations, develop regulatory, design, and methodological documentation as well as specialized calculation software, and provide expert support during the implementation of energy projects.

In the field of energy efficiency, the university conducts energy audits, techno-economic evaluations, develops energy conservation and modernization programs, and performs thermal performance testing and instrumental non-destructive testing of facilities.
